Associate Veterinarian

Corporate quotas and high-stress spreadsheets? Not here. At Westwood Hills Animal Hospital, we believe that practicing great veterinary medicine shouldn’t come at the cost of your mental health, your boundaries, or your family life. We are a fast-paced, high-touch, independent private practice in West Michigan focused on patient-centered care. Our philosophy is simple: we utilize our support team to the fullest so our doctors can actually be doctors. You won't spend your day bogged down by technical or administrative busywork. We are exceptionally highly leveraged with 6 Licensed Veterinary Technicians, 2 experienced Assistants, and an incredible front desk team who efficiently manage rooms, treatments, and client communication—freeing you up to focus entirely on diagnostics, surgery, and your patients.
Why You’ll Love It Here:
• True Baseline Flexibility: Whether you want a stable professional home or a few consistent shifts to balance a busy household, we work hard to protect your time. Our ideal schedule is 2 to 4 days per week (customizable within our hours) and only one Saturday morning (8 am - 12pm) every 4 weeks.
• Real Caretaker Understanding: Life happens. We know firsthand that kids get sick and school days get canceled. You will never be made to feel guilty here for stepping away for family milestones or emergencies. • 30-Minute Appointments: We schedule 30-minute appointment slots so you can actually breathe, practice medicine, and connect with clients. Plus, we use Otto dictation software to make charting efficient and painless.
"Work hard, celebrate together! The Westwood Hills team taking a well-deserved ice cream break to recharge."
